Combining the port is an extra 4 hours worth of grinding per plate, but also probably too much velocity is lost to make any usable low end power. I like the look of that, hopefully it works out well for you.
ok i can understand the 4 hours of time but i dont think you would lose that much more velocity compared to what it is allready at with those huge ports. besides that engine is NOT for low end power any way
Yea a 120 grit tapered roll works the best
but honstly i have built a engine with this style port and drove it daily. The bottom end suffers a little but it more than makes up for it with a top end that does not stop.Open it early and combine the two and it will be a monster . I also had the same thoughts on velocity but after driving a friends car i thought i would try it, im glad i did.
