anyone have experience on porting out the auxillary port to the original secondary and if you do what kind of numbers did you guys pull from the motor. i heard some guys in puerto rico are doing it running 8's and 9's.

I don't think any1 has gotten numbers, but it creates a huge port with no velocity, and basically sucks... You're better off just doing a nice street port. Try the search button and searh. there are hundreds of threads with great info on this subject.

The mazdatrix racecar has this kind of port afaik. Paul yaw builds motors like this too for e production. http://www.yawpower.com/dec2004.html

So "Sucks" is all relative to where you want your power band, and what your max horsepower goal is.

Interesting because all the research I have done on porting said that there were little to no gains because of the lack of velcoity.

Not alot of people really work with/try new things on 6-port plates because the majority of high end builds are turbo.

Or they don't want to talk about it because it is for their race car.

as said before, "sucks is a relative term. i am familiar with Lemon's car (Mazdatrix). not so familiar with Paul Yaw's, though i am familiar with his work and status in the rotary community.

however, aside from all of what i've seen on the internet, i've driven a Gen II with one of those siamesed ports. it was my friend's car and it was a total animal! it ran fine on the street, too, so i suspect that the person that built the motor for him didn't really mess with the primaries much.

i say go for it. i may be doing the same thing with my next motor build.

thanks for the info guys and i made my mind up i will be experiementing with this setup after im done with my setup now. im trying to learn how to use methanol injection without intercooler for now and see how that works. this is also done in puerto rico with some of there eight second nine second cars so we'll see.

A couple shots of a motor I'm building for someone.
