with a street port and the right carb (48ida) it should do about 180rwhp and run forever (100k+) provided you built it out of good parts (new rotor housings)

it used to be with a bp you had to run the carbon seals limiting the life of the motor to between 20-60k miles* now we have steel seals that no only seal better but should last longer too.

mike

* its hard to say, a lot of bp's are race motors, which get torn down every race/season, the rest are street motors which probably are not daily cars

that depends on what breaks.

if you have a carbon seal motor, and it breaks an apex seal they are too soft to do damage to anything else, so you jsut rip it open and replace the seals.

if you have a steel seal motor, usually the shrapnel will take out the rotor housing and or rotor.

also in a high revving motor you can spin bearings and break stationary gears, and that can take out rotors and housings too

so basically, the only thing that ill have to worry about breaking is the seals, and i should be sure to replace the bearings and stationary gears about how often? and when you say itl last 20-60K miles, is that before one of the afore mentiond things happens??

How much a BP affects engine life all depends directly on the porter.
