just wonderin what i have to do to put a 2nd gen 13b into a 1st gen with a 12a what do i have the change hoses etc. do i have to change mounts or what

 

what kind of induction? 1st things 1st though, you'll need a 85 GSL-SE oilpan and front cover (where the engine mount is. 2nd gens use the intermediate housing from underneath hence the funny oilpan) and the engine mount of course. i can't rememebr other things i'm forgetting right now. oil lines you can get from racing beat (stainless steel ones with adapters... i think around $120). as for radiator hoses- once again, 85 13B GSL-SE.



what year 1st gen do you have anyway? do you have the beehive or the air/oil cooler? if you have the beehive water cooled one, get a oil cooler and radiator (3 row if you can. i bought one from www.radiatorbarn.com) from a '82 RX and go from there. pieces will start to fall into place

 

And you have to decide on carb or full efi as well.Either way the 13b is fun.

 

You forgot to mention the crossmember from a SE as well to move the mounts the 10mm forward to bolt it up or use the 12a-13b adapter the Racing Beat sells.
