My friend has a bad cause of carbon lock. Tried the ATF Trick no luck. Thinking of rolling, or pushing. Suggestions.

Dont push it. Take the inspection cover off the bottom of the tranny bellhousing. and using a screwdriver on the flywheel teeth, turn the engine over clockwise from facing the back of the engine.

okay, any explanation of how to remove the inpsection cover, forgot to mention the car it an 84 GSL, 12a.

if its anything like an FC tranny, its just a few 10mm bolts.

on a 12a it has a rubber plug on the bottom. its not my tip, its a bulliten, they even have a special tool that replaces the starter

so do I need a special tool to do this on a 12a. And is it just a plate to take off, on the 12a as well. Just trying to figure out how to fix the problem. Thanks
