"One challenge for the companies is to persuade youths to buy the right cars for drifting. Front-wheel-drive Hondas, Mazdas, Toyotas and Mitsubishis, which are the popular choice for customizing, don't work for drifting."

"Rear-wheel-drive Japanese vehicles such as the 1990-1998 Nissan 240SX, pre-1984 Toyota Corollas and the Mazda RX7, which was discontinued in 1996, are most popular for drifting. The cars can be bought for as little as $1,500 and rarely cost more than $6,000."

::: Awaiting a 3 Fast 3 Furious Drifting Movie now :::

EDIT:I'd like to find a 93-96 RX7 for $6,000. That would make my day.

In whose world? If FDs are going for that cheap, I'll stockpile them.

I could have bought 3 FDs for the price that I paid. Maybe between the 3 cars I could buy, I could put together one working car.

Its cool and all drifting got popular over here, but i think its gone way overboard. Everyone says they drift, but hardly anyone really does. lol...

anyways, stay true real drifters! I hope the fad goes away soon ...
