In case anyone is interested i've talked to Brian at rotorsports racing here in NC, and he is renting out his 2nd gen SCCA race car to anyone who wants to try racing, or take race classes to get licenced. You'd have to contact him for all the details, but its a pretty cool setup. Just thought i'd inform you guys that may have thought about trying to get your foot into the road racing door.

id never let anyone learn "how to do anything" in my car

 

You end up paying for damage to the car if you were to wreck, but anything mechanical he takes care of. You basically get to race all you want, same that it would cost anyone else, except you don't have to put money into the car and worry about fixing it as things break. In all honesty anyone who would consider doing this would be very serious about it and have some deep pockets, its not like he's gona let someone rent his car to smash it up for the fun of it.

Yes he has, there was somebody that took it to SC to do and event with it. He also has another race car that is just sitting out behind his place that he said he could get running again for slightly lower weekend cost.
