i wanna start auto x-ing in the spring but i wanted to read the rules ect. to find out what kinda class i would be in and what i could do to my car.

i went to the scca site and they wanted $30 for the rule book.

i think thats a little pricey if i could just download it somewhere or somethin.

thanks

You should really get the book but if you have vosko's old TII with the boost turned up, I imagine you would be in a prepared class.... your class will probably have Z06 vette's in it too.

Just post all your mods and I can check the book when I get home from work tonight....

That'd be correct, anything with an sort of non-stock boost control is pushed into Prepared. That includes mods to tune *down* the boost.

Yes unfortunately that is correct. Trust me the vettes are not that hard to beat. You have a great Autocross car small and nimble. Dial it in right and the vettes will be chasing you all day.

Here is the good news in B Prepared you will not be dealing with vettes they cannot compete against you there and there usually arent any in that class. You get unlimites horsepower in B Prepared most vettes stick to A Street Prepared where we cannot use a boost controler. That one mod bumped me into B-Prepared.

You will deal with Porsche 944 Turbo's and others I'll look it up and tell you. I think FD's are in there too.

Park you car next to a vette thay are tanks!!

OR, if going by SCCA classing, they have Street Mod.... I'm still trying to understand the differences between street mod and prepared. There was an FD running in SS (super stock?) who was running with all the vettes, he ended up second STOCK.... really smooth runs he had.
