So, I hear a lot about how a lighter flywheel is great for improving acceleration, but I also hear that a light flywheel will make it very hard to launch the car. Among the people who actively drag race a rotary powered car, I would like to ask what weight flywheel do you run?

a 12lb flywheel if you drive it on the street. it reduces rotating mass by quite a bit but still has enough mass to where it doesnt rev up too fast for street use.

then again there are alot of peole that run 8lbs on the street too.

I'm really not concerned with street performance, just interested in knowing what dedicated rotary drag cars are using for a flywheel.
