I just sold my very nice AE86 to buy very nice FC. The AE86 did make me a very good driver. You have to really learn the limits of the car. I loved that car so much but with the initial D thing going on i sold it for 6,000$!!! i couldnt say no. The FC has so much ******* power...its just insane. I think if I never had the AE86 to start out i wouldent be half the driver i am now though. Crap i do miss the 30mpg !!!! ahh!!!! my FC is a pig!!

Theyre still an old old car with an old old ugly bodystyle.

Besides, any interest i had in them for being light was quashed with the sudden abundance of ineterest in them. Everyone treats this one dude with "hachi-go" like he's god just because of initial d. Ohhh his car is so cool, oh wait. my car beats it in every single category except for gas mileage.

that body stile is PIMP but not as pimp as a fc and a fc is much faster but less control and harder to drive i would have loved to start out with a AE86 they are a amysing car i think. by the way INITAL D RULES !!!!!!!

The ae86 is a great car to learn in I have no knocks about it. The only thing I can complain about is the power output that it doesn't put out lol. I've had mine for 3 years.I've been around them for about 20 years because my dad has owned plenty of them (super autoX kind of dad). I recently sold it to my GF because she wants a learning car. I picked up a S4 GTU for $800 running. Love this car also. Pretty bad ***. It's all stock as of now but hopefully I'll have my suspension done before the next scca/autox drift event. Heres a pic of the 86 I dont have pics of my FC yet but you'll see it soon.
