my friends gt-s with an exhaust dynoed at 90hp, they lied from the factory and said it was more.
yeah but how many miles were on that engine when he dynoed? I appologize if it was a fresh rebuild, but even then, you can't expect a 20 year old car to make the same power it was rated when it was new unless the engine has been freshened up and everything else is perfect.

What you have to understand is manufacture advertised HP is Engine HP or Flywheel HP. Not at the wheels. Also not every car will have the exact HP they say it does some will have more and some will have less.

I seen a FD with intake full exhaust and boostin 1k on stock twins pull 290HP before.

Levins are not the SOHC models. there are AE86 4AGE GT Apex Levins available also as

well as AE85 SOHC Trueno's.
I owned an AE86 levin DOHC 4age. Currently already modified to 4agte turbo.

It's true that Club4AG's forums are horribly overrun with the latest in teenage drift fanboys, but the Tech Info section of the website has always been an excellent resource for Toyota information.

Levin/ Trueno/ Corolla info you're looking for is here:

http://www.club4ag.com/faq%20and%20tech_pa...rison_chart.htm

PS, NONE of the AE86-chassis cars were equipped with any type of forced induction. The '93-97 Levin (FWD japan/australia only model) came with a supercharged 1.6L motor, engine code 4AGZE. This motor can be swapped into the AE86 chassis, I've seen a well-prepped GZE swap at the LA region autocrosses, it had top time of the day for a while, against some very competitive cars.

RWD Corolla's aren't much stock, but it's a good chassis to modify, mostly because they're so lightweight, compact, and well-balanced. Not to mention cheap.

I love my RX-7 more, but my Corolla SR5 is a good daily driver, economical, reliable, and surprisingly fun to drive, even with only 80hp.
