I'm with you on being in SM2 or some other modified class. My relocated battery puts me in mod automatically. Without that I would be in prepared due to engine porting, but really, it doesn't matter to me. Top time is always the goal! I have to beat my friend with the ASP FD who usually owns the events around here.

You might want to double check the rules but I don't think a relocated battery puts you out of prepared. You should still be able to run there.

it really depends on the spring rate, but either shock is a good choice for normal fc spring rates

mike

I have FC Rx7 Koni yellows all round in my Cosmo (don't ask!). According to my suspension contact as they come delivered here they will handle up to a 400 spring front and 250 rear. Yellows are rebound adjustable only via a tang in the top of the shaft. You get a plastic key with the shock. If you have camber plate style front strut tops the key needs to be ground to fit inside the nut. Koni Red has bump and rebound adjustment, adding a bump knob on the shaft to the tang on top but are almost exactly 100% more $ here!

I was dubious about hydraulic only but have been converted. They seem smoother & better controlled, and are fully rebuildable. There is a custom valving service available too which I havn't tried yet. I know some racers here using Konis have had a valve set built to suit the local track with very pleasing results I would be sure they would offer the service in the States too..

has anyone tried the koni that are offered by ground control that are apparently revalved for racing applications?
