Too bad on the Grip Video site they think "Ranzo" is spelled as "Ronzo".

The SCCA is thinking of doing drifting that's done in the vein of doing an autocross? Hmmmm, sounds familiar. Gee, that's exactly what happened this past Sunday. It's called Gymkhana and if they decide to start doing it, it'll spread like wildfire.

I have yet to see someone make a good point of what drifting brings to the benefit of motorsports!

so I'm not Dragon...just a flunky of his. either way, it takes a lot of skill to do what some of those drifters do...keeping perfect control of lost control...

Don't get me wrong, I respect their skill and also acknowledge it, but what is it good for except the notion that it can be done?

Its just another skill people enjoy developing in their cars. Why do people circut race? because it is fun and a challenge.

What is the point or benefit of any motorsport??? The only reason any of them keep going is because people enjoy doing it and more importantly is armchair racers like watching it. The manufacturers of parts and such use the experiences at the track to develop new and better stuff for the everyday person.
