depends on what kinda driving you are planning to do.

Dragracing.... go with the FMIC

Road course type stuff.. SMIC

or just spend the extra $350 or so and get a Koyo and do the Vmount.. best of both worlds.

Wow the grammer really makes it hard to follow along with this. If you are going to do an intercooler upgrade you might as well do it right. If money is a concern then buy a nice FMIC. Don't scimp and get a junk yard special. You'll regret it. If you can weld aluminum then make a V mount for yourself. However, a FMIC isn't bad either. I have a GReddy four row FMIC and a MazdaComp aluminum radiator. I also have custom ductwork to force the air through the two cores and there isn't any problems with overheating. If money is that big of a concern then stick to a traditional FMIC. If that's still a problem then just keep saving. I always hated the thought of spending money on something when I knew I'd have to replace it later on. So do it right the first time. Good luck.

im doing kinda a budget v-mount. dual pass radiator off ebay (26x19). got it for 200 something, seems of good quality. also a bar and plate ic, 3.5 inches thick, and i think its 14x20. has end tanks pointing up. perfect for v mount. also 13b-re cosmo motor, microtech, 3.15 inch DUAL (the way an FC exhaust is supposed to be) exhaust. from turbo-back. Even the y pipe itself is 3.15 inch=loud

I am doing the going single and v mount at the same time , I have been bouncing round forums like mad getting as much info as possible on everything its hard . I am gathering parts but I am in Cyprus and my car is in Germany. And money is kinda tight, I still need the microtec if I can get this I can still keep the twins (nonseq them) and get custom zorst parts made until I get the manifold. I am fishing on ebay for a good boost controller at the moment.
