Would the ideal situation be to put some sort of gyrator/mixer in your fuel tank that always keeps the oil in suspension?
we kinda have that because of the return line back to the tank. on our efi cars the pump is pumping a lot more than the engine needs most of the time, so it recirculates it

I use 4 oz. because of what I have read about amsoil you can run less of it and it will behave as if there is more.

i.e. 4 oz. amsoil would equal about 6 oz. of reg 2 cycle oil.

With Pettits Protek I just do what the instructions say on their bottle. It says to use 4 oz per tankful for daily driving and 6 oz for racing.
I believe that their recommendations are for cars WITH the oil metering pump.

I used about 1 oz. per gallon for daily driving, and I didn't have a smokeshow. When I cracked my rear housing and took apart the motor it was nice and clean inside. The rotors looked almost brand new after 16K miles. The same thing doesn't usually happen with motor oil.

When I fill up Iusually put in about 12 gallons.

So is 4 oz. per 12 gallons good? Now I am second guessing.

When I race I add 6 oz to 12 gallons.

I stick to the 1 oz./gallon rule. Less oil will still work, but you may get more wear.

1/2 a bottle to the tank, if it was racing it would be the whole bottle
