Every 5th tank I fill up the car with gas and do not add any premix. I think from now on I am only going to put 5 gallons on every 6th tank.
This way I am cleaning out any buildup of premix I may be accumulating. Do you think this is a bad idea?? |
no, i seem to accumulate as well, dunno for sure or not though.
|
to get rid of the accumulation in the tank or the motor?

How would you know if you're accumulating and where? I ask since I have been going 100 to 1 or more on every fill up for a few months.

would this be a potential reason as to why the gas gauge needle is slow to come up to full at every fill up? Mine lately has not gone in to full |
yea my gas guage rises slow as ****! but anyway i think i accumulate because even when i put less in when i fill up (i like to switch it up) the exhaust still smells of premix and considerable smoke comes out in relation of how much mix i have in,,, or think i have....whatever

My gas guage has always done that.. in fact after like 50 miles, it goes to 1/2 and just sits there lol.
Bigturbo, how much are you putting in? |
I am talking accumulation in the tank. I have in the past had problems with plugs fouling so I decided when I am only going to be driving around town to just not add premix and fill it up. This way I know I am sort of cleaning out the system sort of speak.
BTW - I add 4 oz. per tankfull in an FC. I have no OMP. When I race I mix 6oz. |

Bigturbo, how much are you putting in? the oil pressure, fuel, and temp gauges are all junk, they utilize a bimetallic strip which flexes as a result of heating from a wire wrapped around em. That is the motor that drives the gauge, take the stock gauge cluster and throw it as far as you can. |
