I'm looking for design help, pics mostly. Personal experience is good too



The goal is to make good power between 4000 and 8.500 rpm on TII running a t66 with low/moderate boost. Motor has bported secondaries, and extended primaries, exhaust is ported even with the sleeves.



Any input appreciated.

i think in absence of experience that i would look to what the factory did, look at the 787b, their throttles are in a different spot, but other that that its 4 intake tubes into a large plenum

Phew, that's a busy engine bay...



I've looked at the Racing Beat N/A setups. They're just big runners.

The 787 was N/A too, had the cool constantly adjustable sliding

intake runners. Nice, but not really my application.



Anyone got a pic of RiceRacing's intake, or any other jay-tech setup

for the TII? The 3-rotor OEM might hold some insights too...



Here's some pics of Bob Reiger's setup. Note there is virtually no plenum.

Pic's are big, so I'll just post one and send links for the rest - note the heim

joints holding the IC piping together... got boost?

i thought rice racing was using a stock port matched t2 manifolds? the oem 3 rotor has long runners and a big plenum box

this thing, I'm going to build it

that is what all turbo intakes are...there are no gimmicks inside it...and it isnt needed..because its pressureized

mike: my info on Rice's intake was second-hand - read it somewhere amidst many

searches. I never found a pic of what he's running. I have great respect for his

work, and track testing A picture would be... worth a thousand words.

My car is designed for weekend street driving, and the occasional track event

('88 TII block, bp secondarys, extended primaries, moderate work in the runners,

ported exhaust, turbo TBD, probably 66mm@.70ar on the front and div/tang @1.15ar

on the hot side - plain bearing, water cooled). So, things like mixing efficiency,

charge velocity, throttle response, and so on, are factors for my application.



I'm now leaning toward a variation of Chris' design. He's on the right track.



I'm bolting-up the '88 manifolds to get going, and fab a new one to experiment with.

It'll take a while, but will dyno test and see what happens.

contact TWM about a custom injector and intake. the longer, the better low end on an NA but turbo's are dynamic.
