Stock is leading 5 degrees BTDC, trailing is 20 degrees BTDC. On my s5 motor

Have you guys modified this from stock??

Also what is the stock advance in timing with rpm increase?

How have you guys setup up your trailing split?? 10 degrees locked?? If you could adjust it very easily how would you??

What about the increase in maniflold pressure?? Is there a standard to retard the timing x amount for every lb of boost??

Any info would be great, I'm getting ready to tune and need some hints /tricks

Look in this forum under the Single Turbo section.........there is a stick thread which will answer alot of your questions.

Also you could head over to the evil forum and search it out for timing.....you will find and abundance of information.

cranking timing should be 5btdc.

idle usually ends up between 0l and 10l btdc, it doesnt really seem to matter much, just set it to where the engine idles best

over 2500-3000rpms at around 0 manifold pressure it should be 18-22degrees

and if you look at the evil forum, its safe to run 12-15btdc up to about 15psi*

the factory runs 48btdc*1 on decel, after about 2000-2500rpms

timing split; the factory runs 10degrees split under wot, and then it goes to 0 under decel. it seems like the less split you have the more responsive it will be, at the cost of idle smoothness and full throttle safetey?

* we're limited to 91 octance **** water, more than 15degrees at 7psi and mine will ping

*1 thats the limit of advance on the system

that should get you close, just be careful, if you hear pinging get yer foot off the gas
