Guru Dogmission
as per the judge's recommendation i am going to wait on the guru transmission

Also, anyone want to comment on Guru's "Road Racing Ratios"?
I've tried to do some math, but I went to public school

First looks reeealy tall, like, stall the car repeatedly tall, like
55mph-in-first-gear-tall. This may need a new thread?
And, I think I'd like an overdrive 5th gear... Maybe wait on
the 6-speed?

Is that the special Dragon-Spec inspection window? I had thought my friend was joking when he said that FD rears tend to break the case when they blow.

Any dogg type transmission is sequential.. :D You pull the shifter back the coggs engage and your in the next gear with out the clutch.. I wouldn't do this everyday driving, but it makes for some damn fast shifting when your racing.. The strait cut gears are also much stronger, but much much more noise than the helical gears on a normal mission..

without going back through the post all dogs are not sequential. The dog ring only replaces the brass cyncros. while sequential are dogs.mazda comp tranny is dog ring 5 speed h pattern. sequential are much more expensive...check out speedvision and watch the aussie V8 races or the european touring cars..awsome trannies!Bang, bang, bang up..... bang ,bang bang down. God my car would be the **** ,I would video a couple hot laps and watch the in car cam at night just to look at that tranny in action.

LMAO... I got to inspect the damage it did to my sexy 4.3 final gear that was missing large portions of teeth..
Man that sucked... I had to drive around for a couple of months with a lousy 3.9 automatic final gear.. but now I've got my 4.7 in and I'm all kinds of happy..
now all we need to do is add in electro-hydraulically actuated(sp) gear sliders and we'll be all set...position feed back on the gear stick hooked up to the motec M880 ($10,000 ecu) and have it cut ignition when you pull or push lightly on the gear stick and VOILA......WRC/F1 tranny
