If you have the cash, anything can be made.

If you can find a place to cut the gears, then yes. If you just want to buy something off of the shelf, then no. Yet another reason to secretly despise those FD owners. :smirk:

now all we need to do is add in electro-hydraulically actuated(sp) gear sliders and we'll be all set...position feed back on the gear stick hooked up to the motec M880 ($10,000 ecu) and have it cut ignition when you pull or push lightly on the gear stick and VOILA......WRC/F1 tranny

paddles if you like too!!! :bigok:

1/2 a million spent ...go with ito-spec :yum:
man you have way too much free time haha

Bah, I like getting to 160 really ******* fast.. **** that top speed ****... The damn car is scarry enough not flying threw the air upside down.... :bigok:

I head once you can get a 5.somthing once out of some mazda truck or big car that can be made to fit, but you don't have any good gear choices for the FC, that's why you should drop in a Ford 9".. every gear you can ever want for that bad boy and cheap diff's too.. There was sombody selling a drop in kit for the FC a while back, but I can't remember who...

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Do people adapt them to keep the independent rear end? It looks like it can be done with custom axles and a "stubby" rear.

I'm with you on the top speed thing.

Dont think you can adapt a 9" to be IRS being a solid axle rear and all.

The hot rodders use Jaguar rears to have IRS, not sure how strong they are, but some of them run some beefy set-ups with those rears

there is nothing wrong with my 4.10 gears why change it ?

the easiest car to put a ford 9" is a first gen...... you can put mosler axles on it too ! that is a damn good drag car ! light and solid axle!
