if you check the V8 conversion thread on the other forum jimlab is doing something with the mustang cobra rear, he said that he is planning on selling a kit for the conversion once he has all the parts made.

wouldn't a 4.7 rear just make 1st and 2nd gear totally useless? i don't see the point in using it.
4.7 gear isn't that huge of a change, it actually makes the car more fun to drive because your pretty much always in the power area and there is a little more tork to get around the *** holes.. I'm eventually going to get a close ratio trann that will put 1st gear back to near stock and 2-4 will be really close and 5th will be like a slight overdrive gear..

O' I picked up 7 kph in the first 150 meters with the 4.7 and dropped off .1 second in 150 meters just by changing the final to the 4.7

Bah, I like getting to 160 really ******* fast.. **** that top speed ****... The damn car is scarry enough not flying threw the air upside down.... :bigok:

I head once you can get a 5.somthing once out of some mazda truck or big car that can be made to fit, but you don't have any good gear choices for the FC, that's why you should drop in a Ford 9".. every gear you can ever want for that bad boy and cheap diff's too.. There was sombody selling a drop in kit for the FC a while back, but I can't remember who...
What he said. :bigthumg:
