yes a rx7,theres phtos of it here on a couple pics of peoples cars,i think one of them is on the airbox mod...,go to www.fc3s.org,click on how tos, click engine, cold air box mod,and the first pic will show the engine breather right beside the intake, looks like a miniature K&N air filter, its in the same location as mine, its basically for looks, but is there any anctual performance enhancement? my temp gauge reads a lot colder since i put it on,better performance?i dunno, thats why i started this thread...............

waste ricers,waste all of them!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thats just a mini filter on the air pump. Not a valve cover. And it proly does nothing but help your air pump breath hotter air. I had one to and about ever 3000 miles it was black and needed recharged, plus it was half melted. I took off my air pump, and you should too, unless you have emisions i dont know if that makes it not pass. :notify:

I think he is talking about something different. His friends have replaced thier hose and now instead of venting and burning again, it vents into the atmosphere, and thier engine compartments spewing oil onto thier valve covers. I believe he is talking about a cone filter perhaps.

What IS the point of the filter replacing the hose?

this is the point i think, i have heard it before instead of burning it again for emissions purposes, u open air vent it.
