my buddies have engine breathers on there civics,that miniature intake that hooks onto the valve cover,none of us really knows what it does beside looking better than that little hose from the valve cover to the air intake hose,does it help out the performance at all? i put one on my rx-7 the other day,from what my engine temp says its running a lot coller than before?thanks for the answers

Did you put it on your valve cover?

any seious answers? of course i put it on the valvecover moron,where else would it fu%$ing go,lol...........anyways anbody have any serious answers? i came to his forum becaus most of the people here know there rotary's i assume???????anybody got an answer,thanks for the help

what kind car do u have? not an Rx-7 obviuolsy, lol

yes a rx7,theres phtos of it here on a couple pics of peoples cars,i think one of them is on the airbox mod...,go to www.fc3s.org,click on how tos,click engine,cold air box mod,and the first pic will show the engine breather right beside the intake,looks like a miniature K&N air filter,its in the same location as mine,its basically for looks,but is there any anctual performance enhancement? my temp gauge reads a lot colder since i put it on,better performance?i dunno,thats why i started this thread...............

Well I put had to put one on my Jeep because I stuck an AE air cleaner on my carb and had to toss the stock stuff. It pretty much just lets the crankcase breath a little better than passing through the gause **** or whatever it is.

I honestly don't know how it could change the performance on a car, sorry I guess I can't help you.

It does dress things up in the engine bay however, and you never have to change it!
