hey i just recieved my autometer boost gauge in the mail today but im not sure which vacuum hose to tap it into. i had an electronic greddy that died on me so i bought this autometer cuz it matches the rest of the gauges. can anyone draw/take a picture/explain where i can locate which hose to tap into? thanks in advance. im sure there is an explaination of how to do this on another post in these forums but after searching for 2 hours i cant seem to find any.

hah nevermind i got it tapped in ok. now the next issue is where to plug in the light? i want to be able to control it with the headlight and dimmer switch. dont really care much about the dimmer switch if that is too mch a hastle, but i would like to be able to control it with the headlight switch so its not constantly on. anyone have a guide on doing that? or can anyone tell me the easy way so i dont end up with the whole dash off

I put a Pettit column mount boost gage in, the light for this comes of the feed for the light in the ash tray I believe. That way its controlled by the interior light switch with all of the other dash lights and you don't have to worry about messing with the dash lights themselves.
I didn't do the work myself, but I did read the directions before I took it to the shop. Hope it helps.

awesome that was easy enough. spliced the wires with the ones leading to the ashtray light. works like a charm. the gauge lights up when i switch on the headlights and it dims with all the other interior lights. thanks alot for that helpful bit of info carey. you the man.. or woman?
