Hi, I am presently rebuilding a s4 13b and I plan to streetport it ! I already have a s5 intake with all gasket and I portmatch it but I read some thread and some people wrote that s4 intake is better for ported engine. Is this true ?

The other modifications I have already done or plan to do:



- tb mod

- k&n drop in filter is already installed

- mazdatrix 6 port streetport intake template ( because this template are not large as pinnaple )

- take out the 6 port sleeve and maybe put some high temp jb weld to make a good transition

- rpm switch to activate vdi if i use the s5 intake

- I will grind the exhaust diffuser and port with pinnaple exhaust template

- safc II and innovate wideband m-300 is already installed

- emission removal

- maybe s5 rotor but i'm not sure if I have some money to spend for this upgrade



that is my plan for now, so please comment and give me some new ideas .

I have heard the S4 is better as well, but I have never heard of anyone doing a dyno comparison, or any real sort of testing between them. The runners in both are rather small, but the S5 is acoustically tuned, and I imagine as long as the VDI is functioning, the S5 intake will always make more power.



Id put my money on mazda engineers over seat of the pants testing from random internet people every time.
