6 Port And 4 Port Intake Manifolds...

I'm actually looking at buying a 1g GSL-SE which has the 6 port 13b, but I'd like to go to a 4port motor.



Is there a difference in the intake and exhaust manifolds on the 6 port and the 4 port? I'd like to swap out for the 4 port but I want to make sure I'll be able to do it.

you need the 4 port intake manifolds, all the 13b exhausts are the same though

If you want to make it a 4 port just use 12A endplates on that monster.

Mike can't he run a 6-port upper on a 4 port lower?I have seen 6-port RB manifold on TII motors before so wouldn't it work with EFI.

Could you explain this a little more?



I guess I don't understand what you mean by 12a endplates, is this like where it bolts to the engine? Would I have to make an adapter on the intake manifold to bolt to this piece?

Also, if I were to use the intake manny off of a 4 port 13b, would it be compatible with the older (84/85 gsl-se) electronics?

as long as you can keep the throttle body, tps, and air flow meter it should work. i think it would work too, cause i think the 12a turbo is basically the gsl-se throttle on the carb intake, hmm i should try that
