You Guys See The Caddy Ads?

The 4.6L Northstar in the cars is actually dropped for a boosted 4.4L Northstar. The smaller cid was done to give much thicker cylinder walls to handle the boost better. After the carbon buildup problem the 1st northstar's had when not driven regularly, there is only so much risk GM will take.
The LS2 6L engine is roughly 420hp, slightly underrated. The LS7 is still up in the air, but with 427cid, dry sump, forged crank, titanium rods, and a lot of other toys, it should be a very interesting engine.
Rumor is as the LS1/LS6/LS2/LS7 all carry the same external dimensions (though very different displacements) that the CTS-V might get a upgrade to the LS7 for a "Super V". Price would go up a lot to compensate, as the LS7 is hand built.
Other engine caddy still has is the V12 Northstar with DoD. It's built, but the market doesnt exist for it yet. The Cien is still on the table, and probably will be for a few years. If Chrysler made their ME12, then the Cien would probably go into production.
Look for the STS/DTS to be totally restyled in 2008 when the Sigma chassis gets reworked.
But by then we should already have a new RWD Performance Coupe with a Chevrolet logo on it...
Also there is work on a 2 door version (shortened) of the CTS and more of a luxury coupe. Dont know what'll happen with it though.
And maybe a 3 rotor engine in the states too. Thatd be nice.

Yes the new R171 body SLK55 is out. Like I said I drove one the other day. They never made a SLK with a v8 prior to this model.
