It's a pity you don't live over here Pistonkilla, ever since all the Japanese imports have been coming in, all the factory Turbos that were already here are now incredibly cheap. Mitsubishi cordia's and starions can be as low as $2000au for a runner. Nissan exa's[I'm not sure if you got those] are also cheap. Even the subaru RX[before the WRX] are well priced. Mind you some of the Nissan S13 silvias and R32 skylines can be found for about $10000-$12000au mark now. Not usually fantasic examples but ***** of fun never the less.

Along with the Shelby daytona, daytona R/T(If you find one for cheap damn 16v engine)and the Spirit R/T(Sleeper 4dr with 202hp)Or the Merkur XR4TI and Mustang turbo.Another would be the 323 GTX AWD.Those are pimpin yo. :bigok:[/quote]

I would love to have a 323 GTX!

Yeah, I forgot about the Shelby Daytona...those can be damn fast. The Spirit R/T is a sleeper from hell...there's one in Syracuse that runs 12s. :yum: I like the XR4TI, especially the one in DesMoines that has the Cosworth body panels, full cage, basically a Cosworth engine/turbo, and some nice straight pipe. I saw a Mustang turbo at a Mustang show over the summer...pretty neat little car.

there is a kid in my neighborhod that has a 80 somthing volvo 640 i think it is turbo but he upgraded the BOV and exhaust and a few other things its running hard looks funny cause its a volvo though.

Mazda came out with a 323 or i think 626 Turbo also.

How low are you willing to stoop for a Turbo car i guess if you do the owrk right Turbo is Turbo as long as your going faster than the guy next to you thats all that matters.

Audi 5000 Turbo Quattro - can be had practically free, makes 160hp stock but 225 with chip and wastegate spring from APR, weighs only about 3200lb (pretty light for a biggish sedan), can be tuned up pretty much as far as you want to go.

There's a guy in Sweden who builds these 10 valve turbo fives up to over 700hp. They are pretty bullet proof.

And the quattro will be nice in New England. Actually wherever and whenever conditions aren't perfect. Launching with one or two wheels on a gravel patch? It doesn't care . . . just grips and goes.

J
i wouldn't mind a 5000 TQ daily driver with like 300HP

actually they did have a quattro with 306hp but it wasnt a 5000, it was a quattro sport somewhere back in the 80's, but it was made for racing and plus theyre were very few made and when i say few i mean a FEW. but anyways the only 5000 turbo that even got to 160hp was the 86-87 model :bigthumg:
