I guess if the FD runs 14.0 stock, you couldn't expect the 8 to get within a second of it.

Now if Mazda would just drop that renesis in the miata . .

I think they need a new, lower volume 2 seat convertible/coupe. The miata will allways still be a miata, no matter what. It will never be seen in the same way as an S2000.

Well driven Miatas finish within a second of a well driven prepared third gen at the local autocross club. Some days they beat the FD, and they are CSP . . two classes less powerful than ASP.

Point being the S2000 must be the **** to top that. Hondas do have very sophisticated suspensions, however, and the S2000 looks like a real winner to me. I'd love to see how they drive . . that and an MR2-T.

A stock S2000 is the car to beat in these parts. It took the owners a while to figure out how to push them to their limits once they did they ran away from the crowd.

I dorve one at a pratice day. It was stock and had Victoracers on it. It was a handling wet dream. It was just way low on power. Unless of course you drove it like a lunatic which is exactly what these guys have figured out.

Has no one here driven an A2 GTI 16v 2.0t? wit hsome cheap suspension mods this thing has been running away with the drag and autocross races. when i drove it i was easy on it because it was not mine but it can fly. I think they got it running 9.8 in the 1/4 now with little bit of tuning. Ill ask him what his hp is but i recommend you try out a 1.8t.

One of my good friends has one that Ive driven quite a few times. That car is amazing. Its not mind bending fast, but its got enough power to be entertaining. And the handling is nothing short of amazing.

Jims, you drove the RX8, right? Did Mazda use the same transmission as the S2000 or what???
