zr-1 numbers

There you go, look for yourselves, 13 second 1/4 miles were nothing for a ZR-1, again, my cousin had one, the thing was a blast to drive.

Guy down the street just sold his... bought an 02 Z06 says its light years better and much much faster than his old ZR1 ever was. He was b/s'ing with me because of my stangs...

Though to be honest I would surprised if a 380hp vette could not get into the 13's! Considering a 225hp Mustang can tag 13.8's..

pushrod engines just use a single cam mounted above(?) the crank. there are rods that ride on the cam that push the rocker arms up and down.

I didnt mean that towards you, just the ones who because they dont know a pushrod engine, think they are no good. I gave you the whole breakdown of a pushrod engine , EVIL T2 says rods ride on the cam that push the pushrods up and down- those arent rods, they are lifters, once again, pushrods are what opens and closes the valves in the heads.

not to drag this out but to be more specific, the pushrods push up on the rocker arms which open and close the valves.... overhead cam engines (like most of today's cars) don't have lifters or pushrods since the rockers or rocker arm assembly open and close valves directly from the camshaft lobes all on top of the cylinder head

What little I did post about the operation of a pushrod piston engine, went un-noticed, imagine if I had gone to the trouble of explaining it ALL, lol.. I of course know they 'push' the springs which open and close the valves, just trying to keep the post short and sweet

500HP out of an LT1 or LS1 (or almost any V8) very easy. LPE and DRM do it all the time with a longer crankshaft and some bore and stroke ups. DRM put my LT1 C4 at 370rwhp for about 2K. But who gives a **** now, I crashed it.

Zr-1s are bad *** cars. The new Z06 might win 0-60 because of the differences between the C4 and C5 bodies. The new vette lauches better but the ZR-1 has a great top end. AS for 500 hp, that is not hard and as with anything money makes it very easy.

P.S. my first post I am thinking about getting a RX-7 thought I would check out this site.
