hey guys, ive got a petrol smell that has just started on the outside of the car around the left rear wheel arch, its also underneath around the middle of the car, its not and has never leaked but it used to do it but that was cos it had a broken fuel cap but in the last few daysits started again. Is it ust cos of the hot weather or what? My dad said its just the breather vent thingys but i just wanna ask you guys cos im worried cos ive asked other ppl and they say its normal in hot weather but some ppl, say its not, it doesnt always do it in the sun, its there and then isnt like a few minutes later plz help guys

 

It could be because of the hot weather, but the breather is back by the tank. The smell in the middle of the car doesn't make a whole lot of sense.



If you aren't seeing any actual fuel leakage on the ground I wouldn't be too concerned.

 

fd used to do that, i always noticed when i would smell the smell i was next to a gas station....
