LOL. Why would you come here to debate Nissan with a bunch of Mazda guys?

My 6G72 in my Eclipse 0wn3z all your rotaries! HAHAHAHA!

Hellz bellz. My latest money pit is a Pulsar GTi-R. Yeah, yeah, I know, I know. Forgive me if you can. One of these days I'll get back into a real car. But anyways...I already know going into this thing that the tranny is made out of glass. I sure don't try to fool myself about it. The first thing I had do with it was change out the clutch. A nice and slippery one is in it now. I'd rather change clutches than trannies. The thing is, these trannies are notorious for shattering under close to stock power levels. All they need is some binding in the system and KABLOOEY! Gear soup. That's a Nissan tranny for you. The GTi-R trannies are an extreme example of what's not good about Nissan trannies.

It has a SR20DET in it. Oh yes! The over-hyped SR20DET! It makes me nostalgic for the days when I had a good reliable 13B-T. I haven't even had the chance to beat on it yet and the engine failed. Still waiting on the autopsy resiults but so far it seems as though it was the weak sauce oil pump in it. Hell, it wasn't even abused by the previous owners. One of the few GTi-R's around that has had a good life so far and it still crapped out. Bahhh!

Gotta love people that have no first hand experience on something they are overly passionate about. Doesn't that pretty much cover 99.99999% of all the people in the states that sport wood when thinking about Skylines?

Better yet, Why would someone debate about Japanese cars to a bunch of people that LIVE IN JAPAN! I see GT-R's everyday. We even have an R33 on my base. BEAUTIFUL car...and slow as ****. He'd probably beat me though....in the rain. We've talked and guess what...first thing he's doing is GETTING A TRANSMISSION because all the other GT-R OWNERS HERE IN JAPAN highly recommended getting one along with a better oil pump.

GT-R's are great cars if you want "luxury" and have MONEY. You can have a BLAZING FAST car for $40,000...or you could spend $20,000 and have a 20B put into your FD and embarass all the 600+ whp GT-R's...you do the math.

Yeah, that's a great point. You guys know more than we'll probably ever learn from SCC and Supa Skreet.

Yah, we get to play with all the good toys and you guys get the used salvation army toys... But every now and then one of the guys who thinks his buddy has one of the real toys will come along and try to play with us. Then we we have to tell them "No you can't play with us because it's you buddies toy! Not your Toy!" Then we have to ask him "Why does your buddy having a real toy that you don't know anything about make you cool?" This usually follows with a temper tantrum where they storm off and go to play with the other kids with the fake Toys...

Hrm, I'm going to have to start looking for a 20B manual transmission... Since they obviously made them... ROFL! Or maybe I'll just leave the stock FD 13B tranny in it since it seems to be doing fine so far with 18 psi out of a T76 on the 20b with a triple plate ORC clutch and more tork than his buddies GT-R...
