Hmmm, let's see here....$18k for a GTS-t that might fetch $2k~$3k in Japan. A $8k~$10k GT-R for about $28k. And these prices are for cars that have histories that can't be confirmed. You might get a nice one or a salvaged one - you'd never know and Motorex would never say even if they did know. I know of one in Seattle (actually Tacoma) with a mismatched interior. It looks fine, but that is really odd. These cars are most like rode hard. Not rode hard American style, but Japanese style. That means, romped on whenever traffic permitted it and the driver cared to go for it with little to no fear of getting busted by the cops. These cars are in various states of tune. Parts slapped on them hoping they run right is the usual light tuning over there (over here as well unfortunately). Tuned cars over there are not babied unless some fool owned the car.

Speaking of fools, they and their money are soon parted. Call Motorex to hasten this parting.

Just a reality check.

well the article iread, stated that the cars tha motorex buys are under warranty and they pick the best ones they can get a hold of out in japan. they try not to sell abused ones. they will do work for, they do have the cars 50 state legal and they can recommend shops in your area that are qualified to work on skylines

I never said they weren't cool. I love the way the R32 GT-R looks and respect what they can do. They just are charging way too much for too little. They are charging the same for a R32 GT-R that has dropped about $10k in street value in Japan since they started selling them over a couple of years ago. But if you have to have the coolest car on the block, then they are the way to go. The R32 that I know around here is extremely cool and will be a beast when it hits the road again.

They can not honestly say their cars have not been abused. Nobody knows what kind of a life the car led. The older the model, the more owners it's probably been through. It's a f'n GT-R! It's been run hard. That's what they are made for. That's what people buy them for. But people like to believe stuff that makes them feel better. Motorex are used cars salesmen. I repeat - USED CAR SALESMEN. They don't need to do a hard sell because people come knocking on their door to buy. They just tell people what they want to hear to make them feel better about plunking down that much cash. They are not there as a public service to the automotive community. They are a business in the business of making money. They aren't selling ones that have obvious damage, but they aren't selling the nicest examples either.
