its obvious that bluews6 (whatev) is a GM fan, and brandon loves da evo's.

corvette's and evo's are cool cars.. i think vettes are more for older people and evo's for kids who want turbo's.

and btw, the new gto is ***.. sorry but the front end looks like every other pontiac ever made, and the body of it really isn't anything special.. it just looks like a 2 door family car.. kinda reminds me of the monte carlo is 95-96 (i think thats the year)

i actually like Gm cars too...i'm trying to get a 2001 camaro ss, black witha 6speed and t tops

HAHAHA ROFL I totally saw this guy today with a mullet driving a late 60's nova that had a sticker that read "Eatn' Ford" and had a big chevy bowtie underneath the hypnotic message.

Personally, I hate how SO many car guys get caught up in stereotypes. You're either a ford or a chevy or a dodge guy. Now days it's more like american vs. japanesse vs. euro but each still have their own wars going on. My uncle is one of the most knowledgable guys I know about anything mopar, my brother has owned 2 mustangs and will probly own another by the time he's 30 my best friend drives a street legal NA crx that runs 13s and I drive a 280ZX that in the future will have a 13B-REW under the hood. What do we all have in common? We all like fast cars. Do any of us look down on each other's cars and dream cars? No, becuase that's just all opinion and taste. Can you really look down on someone for thier taste? That's like not sitting next to someone at a formal party becuase they like caviar.

True, the evo doesn't appeal in the looks department to people who like round and sexy beasts (ie rx7... oh man... need to change now...) but you can't just knock it down for petty reason of dislike. I HATE the look of the GTO, would I ever rev on one on the street? No. HELL no. Do I look down on anyone that buys one? No. They're one badass sleeper, just don't call it a muscle car. :P

I still stand by my statement, the new vette (i don't think) look different enough compared to the C5 but I can't wait to see some more performance tests becuase it should be a good deal faster than the pervious chassis model.

PS any word on the new rx7? Hmm, i should post stuff like that on the "other cars" board. Hello google....

And who says Evos were for the young'uns while Vettes are for the older generation. I've been wanting a 68-72 Corvette since I was 12. And I've seen 4 guys in their 40s in an Evo

I was like "where the hell did I say that? and looking back on my posts i found it. I meant to comment on them using leaf springs instead of coil-overs.

My bad.

Leaf springs are simple. One spring over the whole thing and done. (Check out the original Shelby 289 Cobra) Doug Rippie makes a coil over conversion and remember, a leaf sprigned Z06 will pull 1g laterally
