Does it have pushrods? I like em, I would though - the same reason you like Skylines over there, because there aren't any.

It does, still a cool car though, good deal for the performance and they don't even look half bad any more (as opposed to the '70s models which looked much more than half bad, almost entirely bad in fact).

Ive driven c4's, my dad had a c5 and almost bought a c6. The c6 was a big step up performance wise from the c5. It was defently fast, and handled pretty nice. I didnt personally like the interior layout as much.

Now we drove that and a gt3 back to back, needless to say the gt3 is in the garage and not the c6 https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

The C6 outperforms the porsche in all numbers, other then that I am not going to compare. Outside of that the Vette sure as hell doesn't use leaf springs (I am hoping that was a joke) it weighs 3200lbs with 400 horsepower and pulls 1.0 G on the skidpad. The base model is priced at 45,000 dollars and it runs 12.7 in the quarter stock and 0-60 in 4.0 flat. I'd like anyone out there to find me a stock car that can melt the competition for under 50,000. Oh yeah, and the new z06 is on the way with 500 horsepower through a 7.0 C6R race block with dry sump technology and more carbon fiber body work then most LM cars. Needless to say it will be a beast with 0-60 somewhere in the 3.5 second range and Lambroghini crushing top speed. Don't doubt chevy, you have to remember that both of these cars with the six speed with get over 15 to the gallon and can whoop just about 99% of the cars on the street without blinking.

carbon fiber on a chevy? interesting

DJ Rotor 12-24-2004 02:42 PM

I am 99% sure that the C6 uses a transverse composite leaf spring in the rear suspension.

Note here that there is absolutely nothing wrong with leaf springs, it's just another way of getting a certain spring rate and amount of travel.
