You don't need the AYC and the other stuff to go fast. The EVO VII RS is the fastest and lighest of all of the EVO VII models. The RS comes with AC and everything else has to be optioned onto the car. The heavy *** GSR is optioned to the point where your butthole hurts so it's heavier and slower than the RS.

They're probably going to wait and see whether they sell well before introducing the *****-out model, just like Subaru did with the WRX. Subaru didn't even expect the WRX to do that well, and they've basically sold every car they could get their hands on. Now, we're going to get the STi.

I bet the same thing will happen with the Lancer Evo. Just wait and see.

It will be interesting to see what happens when the EVO gets here. Even more interesting IF/when Ralliart gets involved.

We all know that Subaru is waiting to see what Mitsubishi does. The ball is pretty much in Mitsubishi's corner right now. They're fine tuning right now. But at a price tag below...$30,000, that is a little high. They have to get the base model EVO to be priced near the base model Impreza (2.5TS is roughly $17,000 per Cars.com) and the high end model EVO be near the WRX Impreza (MSRP $24,000). Mitsubishi will have a hard time selling as many EVOs at that price.

For $30,000, you can also pick up a 350Z. IMO, Mitsubishi had better lower their prices.

$30k is not too high! I would rather spend $30k on a car that can use BPU to get other 400whp than a car that will need a need ECU + a turbo KIT to do the same!

It doesn't matter what the msrp is dealers are going to change the price anyway!

For 30k that damn thing will still rip **** up.Just need to add a CAI,Exhaust, manual boost controller and the biggest FMIC you can find. Now that would make a budget hauler.

All you need is a 76mm dp/test pipe/exhaust, Air cleaner, colder plugs, turn the boost up to 1.3 with a good EBC, reprogram the ECU, get the optional twin plate from RalliArt, 660cc injectors and HIGH OCTANE fuel to be knocking on the doors of 380whp.
