you should look for an s13 with a blown motor, should be able to get one for about 1000. then get the SR motor for about 2500 and you'll be set. i just picked up a s13 coupe (more rigid and lighter than the fastback) and did the swap, a few more days and it should be running.. just my .02..

good luck!

SR20DET!

Friends shop recently swapped one into an 89!

Only trouble spot, extending the O2 sensor wires, mounting the intercooler!

Only ran the factory computer?? It does well but tops out way to soon!

The JDM ECU is required! Or Fuel cut defender.

Do It!!

two of my friends have them. one of just bought a new clean chassis we are going to swap over all of the sr stuff into the new car and sell the old one with the KA. the stock ecu runs good with full exhaust and fmic. the only thing i hate is the speed limiter at about 115mph that is very gay

Is a 240sx a 180sx?

Or is it a Silvia? If not what is a

stateside name for a silvia? Also

do they have the S14, and S15 too?

If so what are the names of those?

Thanks for the info

Good deal too bro..

The 240sx came in two models in the states, hatchback and trunk...like our 180sx and silvia...except that the silvia had "silvia style" front end, while the 240sx trunk had the pop up headlights like the 180sx. When Japan made the S14/S15 Silvia, they called it the 240sx in the states.

I just thought I would mention that you should check the suspension on the 240sx. If you have a bad suspension (worn shocks/springs, really old/torn bushings, etc.), the car will be eating tires really fast.

My former 240 did that. Just thought I would mention.
