So he changed a turbo spider into an all wheel drive spider. I could see that not many people have done this but its got to be more than 10.

The motor is the way its supposed to be, its not a hard conversion. Its just like the Mazda 323 and 323 GTX, the only difference is ussually the firewall. The main difference in between the FWD platform and the AWD platform is the transmission has a output shaft or gearbox that sends a driveshaft to the back to a differential.

They did make GSX Spyders. Not saying he didn't just convert his, but they did make them from the factory.

show me where? I've been into dsms for a few years and have no heard of or seen one..specially one that was done from the factory.

is it me, or is the hood not lined up. spyder's are rare, but I think is still FWD. at least from the way the engine is placed east to west not north to south.


the awd dsm would still have the engine mounted the same dirrection. no eclipse had a north to south positioned engine from the factory.
