Get the turboXS downpipe with their catback it makes a big difference. A friend from work had that setup on his WRX and it was fast. Afte he picked up te STi he took the exhaust off his WRX an put it on the STi. I can't wait to go for a ride.

I'd say stock for stock an STi would take an FD... I know I speak blasphemy but the numbers just don't lie... and god white STi's are soooo clean.. my good friends dad just bought one, white with silver rims... the last car he had was a SCCA AutoXing white WRX wagon with black split 5 stars... how that thing could carve a corner, or be flung around them if need be

ive seriously considered an STi, but i cant justify the money. That and it doesnt even come with a stereo as standard equipment! That blows. The one thing that is a major factor for me is the cost of insurance. Its super high for the wrx and even higher for the STi. If you are considering buying a wrx, call your insurance company first, i was really surprised how high it really was.

I drove one last week. Definately has power. Lag is noticable, but thats coming from 2 n/a guys... I bet most FC turbo owners would wet themselves over the lack of lag. Acceleration, the STi would roast a stock FD. ESPECIALLY from a stop. I really enjoyed the drive, it was an awesome car.

White is by far the best color. It simply looks amazing. They had one in the showroom. The salesman told me they had to buy 10 bajas to get the white STi. I laughed.
