So i have a 1991 rx7, non turbo. STOCK

any other 1989 and up owners post pics of there drivers side engine bay? or just the oil filler tube

My oil filler tube has what seems to be an overflow outlet, with a rubber house that just points down right on the side of the engine.

The oil filler tube has always been pretty loose since i got the car but never noticed any oil leaks, or oil leaked onto the ground so I never thought twice.

My question is, is there supposed to be this random overflow outlet?

It also seems like this is the wrong oil filler tube as theres nothing i can do to make it fit tighter in the hole. it wobbles slightly and turns when you tighten or loosen the oil filler cap. I know its pressure fitted, but on my tube theres also what looks like a mounting bracket at the base where one could put a screw or bolt thru to attach it to the top of the engine housing. yet I can find no such hole.

In case the diagram is hard to decipher the nipple on the filler neck should go to a pcv valve that is connected to a vacuum source.

thanks man, found that and hooked it back up, but what can I do about my loose filler neck. when i hooked the hose back up i was able to pull it out by hand without really trying. is it a matter of just buy a new filler neck? or could i smack it back down into place.

I believe they are just press fit (correct me if I am wrong anyone). Just give it enough tap so that it is sealing.
