How the fawk am I going to get the return line cleared. what can I put in it besides gas? I thought about sparying break cleaner down it e tube and blow ing it through, but isn' gas just as mucch a cleaner as break cleaner... I'm stumped. maybe I should plumb the fuel pump to bypass the carb and FPR and just cycle fuel through the circut. Welll I'm going to bed and I'll try again tomarrow...

who needs a fuel return? I know that your regulator requires a return so why not for ***** and giggles try a cheapo one from shucks and turn it down as far as it will go. I think the returnless FPR they sell there is under $20 and you can turn it down to at least 2 PSI. Worth a shot at least? Good luck!

I have to have a regulator that will raise fuel pressure with boost. Or it will blow up. I don't know of any boost reference regulators that run with out a return. Today I poored mmo and break cleaner down the return and then hooked up the pump to run a circut. stairght from the rear and back through the return. it seemed to help and I don't think the return is still clogged. but fuel pressure will still not drop below 7psi. It instantly floods the weber. I'm at an absolute loss... Someone buy this piece for $3000 with all my extra parts!

So. I can't get my FPR to drop below 7psi. I'm running a holley blue fuel pump. 110gph @ 14psi. ANd I'm using a Mallory 4309 It seems as though the fuel return is clogged, but I spraied brake cleaner and mmo down the return then ran the feul pump to bypass the FPR and Carb and run straight down the return hoping all 14psi would clear it out. I let it run for about 15 minutes, and still nothing. I hooked the carb and FPR back up and the second I turn the key 7psi and its pooring fuel out of the main jets. What the fawk is going on. I'm beyone frustrated with this. I just want it running, or gone forever. Also the car is a 83GSL if that matters as far as return size or tank size go. I figure tomarrow I'm going to try and run it with the fpr return dumping into a bucket and see if that lowers the fue pressure. Mind you these results are withthe pressure control bolt turned all the way out.

Are you sure your return line is big enough?
I'm no FB guru, but I thought the carbed models had a smaller return line.
If it's not blocked what else could it be? I guess your bucket trick would answer this question.

ok lets take this one step at a time. First of all you need some compressed air to get that return line unclogged.
In the mean time, why dont you just buy some rubber fuel line, connect it to the return port on the fuel pressure regulator, and have it just dump into a bucket or something? That would tell you for sure if you return line was really clogged
And for the record, all carburated FB's had MUCH smaller fuel lines (send and return) than fuel injected FB's. (GSL-SE's)
