Bobby I misunderstood. I was not talking about rigging for NO2. I know nothing about what is required to make it work well.

I am going to 75-80 tomorrow and I am about to depart for MIR. Long-*** haul from Bethesda but I want to try a couple of runs with a longer burnout and higher RPM at launch.

Not one of my better days. Ran an 11.8@117 on my first run but 60' stuck at 1.67.

On run 2, I bogged bigtime.

On Run 3 I got scary sideways when I hit the tranny fluid the previous car dumped on the track - ran an 11.9 and 105mph.

On Run 4 I my shifter got balky. I missed second, in fact took a very hard pull to get it into second.

Anybody have any explanations for the shifting problem? At idle it shifts smooth as glass, click, click. Under hard acceleration it's a bitch to get into second, a real serious "stopover" between 1st and second.

Clutch again?

Sounds like a clutch.

Check the fluid?

Ran my bone stock RX-8 at MIR last Sunday (6spd, Grand Touring, Appearance pkg, Nav, etc.)

First run was a 15.4 with a 2.2 60 foot.

Second run was a 14.9 with a 2.4 60 foot.

World Cup at MIR is always a friggin mess.... 8 hours at the track and only two runs. I didn't bother hanging out to run in the bracket class.

They put the 8 in Hybrid-Modified.

I was running 93 octane, half a tank of gas, left the tire pressure alone, and was feathering the launch at 6000 rpm. I also had the DSC and traction control turned all the way off.

Air temp was only 50-55 degrees that day so the track wasn't holding any heat. Damn near everyone was having problems with the launch.
