1. bad ecu

2. bad wiring harness

Im getting dee's spare PFC on sunday to eliminate the ECU as being part of the problem.

If its not the computer, then out comes the wiring harness and in goes a fresh new one! I'm ok with that, because my harness is in pretty shitty 90k mile shape...

The engine harness is one expensive piece. Ray Crowe wants $650 for a new one.

Well looks like good news guys. 75-80 website is saying they will be open this weekend!!! Finally some passes. Should be interesting for the first time out this year hopefully Bobby and Tom and the rest of you guys can make it up.

On another note I went to a local "car show" last night and ran into Brian aka RX-Midget. I have to say his car is awesome. The yellow paint is so bright and clear. The car is sweet and the motor looks like it was made to go in there. After he told me the car only weighs about 1500lbs I realized that thing has to be a handful and is plenty fast. It was really strange hearing the rotary sound coming up the parking deck even though I knew it was Brian it was wierd to hear that sound from an MG. But again sweet car Brian you did some awesome work.

There was of course a lot of interest in mine and Brians cars and one kid actually asked me if the FD was an "FTO", whatever the hell that is. It was a good time and it was the first "official" outing of the 7 that I got a chance to show it off a little bit. You all should try and make it up here next month when they do it again, its nothing big but a good chance for "car guys" to get together. Or we should try and set something up prior to the BBQ day just to BS and meet all the local guys.

But it is something worth replacing.

I might be able to get one from mazdamotorsports, or a lowmiles one from one of the guys over in japan.

I am more worried that it's the ECU, then i'm in the hole 1k...

Hey Bobby let me check over on torquecentral, there are a bunch of guys getting rid of harnesses and ECU's let me see if I can find you one that they may be willing to part with for cheap.

I have some guys I have established pretty good relationships with they may be willing to help out.

It was really strange hearing the V-8 sound coming from an FD, but it sounded good when you left

Mikes car looks great. The install looks very factory and I bet that car will flat out run! A little paint on the bumper, and she will be good to go.
