Well the first night of shake down passes was a success. I got to the track at about 6:30 and got the ET estreets put on, it was pretty dead so I knew I was gonna get a lot of runs in for a friday night. I got 5 runs in total but I never sprayed it at all. All my runs were solely on the motor (all throttle no bottle) and I still have an exhaust leak so the car was running rich. Plus the DA last night all night was right around 3200 feet so the air quality sucked. Oh yeah I didnt use the transbrake either so I think there is a lot of 60ft inprovement capable too.

Back to the runs. 1st run I had the trans in 2nd to do my burnout and forgot to shift out of 2nd at the lights (I wanted to lwet the trans shift on its own at 5500rpm the first few passes to get a feel for the car) so I banged the rev limiter for a long time until I realized what was going on and shifted into 3rd. That run I posted a miserable 13.6 @103 but a 1.75 60ft.

Next run my line lock didnt hold so I got a shitty burn out and spun badly off the line only getting a 1.95 60 foot and ran a 12.7 @109.1. The run felt ok but I spun real bad at the line so I was frustrated.

Third run of the night I got a good burnout using the brake not the line lock and so the car hooked better and I ended up running a 12.35 @111.9 with a 1.75 60 foot. I was pretty happy I got in the low 12's but this was still letting the trans shift on its own at 5500rpm so I knew there was more in it.

Fourth run I decided to shift my self and see if I could get close to the 11's.Good burn out and I 60 footed 1.72 so the launch felt good (the 1-2 shift has to be by my trans no matter what because if I put it into 1st that is what engages my transbrake). 330ft @5.03 and I banged third at 6000 rpm. 1/8th in 7.79 and I shifted into 4th at 6000rpm right after the 1000ft and ran a 12.18 @ 113.9376. I was stoked but frustrated the 11's were so close yet so far away.

Last run of the night I told myself shift high, launch her as hard as you can and leave it in 3rd to cross the traps. Here is a breakdown of my final run.

RT 0.6627 (on a .5 tree not bad)

60ft 1.7129

330ft 5.0062

1/8 7.7150

1/4 ET 11.9391

1/4 MPH 114.3386

Needless to say I was pretty stoked to get into the 11's on a BONE STOCK motor without spraying. With some good air and some work on my launch and fixing the exhaust leak I think I could squeek out possibly a 11.7 on the motor alone but that is pure guess.

I saw Demetrious up the and he 60 footed a 1.37 but was still having problems so he didnt get to make a pass. All in all it was a fun night too bad you guys couldnt have been there to see my first dabble in the 11's even though Bobby's friends were there most of the night.

A few weeks and we gotta all meet up there for some "grudge match" racing!!!

I actually talked to demetrious a little about you last night and he seemed to think you are having fuel pump or pressure problems.

Naughty, sounds good! Don't do anything else and we can have real competitve races. Once you get it sorted out I am already toast and once you start spraying, I might as well be in a VW bug for the chance I will have.

But I look forward to it. I am up in Ohio at the moment and Norwalk International is about 30 minutes away and I can hear it calling.

No et streets on the car though. Anybody have good info on how far I can drop tire pressures for street tires?

I have run regular street tires at 20psi before.

Tom you just need to get back into town and Bobby needs to find his gremlins and we can all have some fun.
