To those guys that said the event should have been somewhere else or there was to be more advertising.....

You all have just shown you don't know what the **** you are talking about. This thing was being advertised from before November....how much more time to plan do you need????

As for location.....how about this.....why don't you guys take the time and scout out places to have an event like this one.....not just a simple show-n-shine, that can be done anywhere, but a place for you to actually drive your car. As for not being a central location.....whoever said that is purely an assclown and deserve to be treated as such. This place was at most an hour from Orlando. So the Orlando and Tampa guys don't have an excuse to stand on. If people from Jax and G'ville can make it, hell there was people from outside the state of FL who made it. I made it there from Ft Lauderdale. So drive time for in state people was relatively the same.

And for the cost....IT WAS $30!!! How much more of a break did you want???

Jim you already know where I stand...I had a damn good time....but should it have cost you this much......HELL NO!! Again I applaud you and the guys that contributed to making this happen.

Yeah but then I'd be at a rotary event without my rotary. Ah well. I would of loved to go, but location was a factor for me unfortunatly. We are planning an OK rotary BBQ that I hope goes well.

I was just talking out my ***, I wanted to go too, I was in Arizona two weeks ago, I knew I should have just left from there instead of coming home first, once I got here the commitments began to stack up.

I am not looking for pity I am mearly pointing out that no one attends these things down here. Maybe I should have pumped it up to be much more than it really was with guest speakers you never see and all kinds of exciting news every 3 days to trick everyone into paying 3X as much for nothing. No one attends these events in Florida it is obvious.

No one wants to attend I could have spent my money much better on other things.

The location was 30 minuted North of Orlando in THE MIDDLE OF THE STATE it does not get any more central than that.

I will not be online much we are VERY behind at work now. I am going to loose clients on top of all of this if I dont get a shitload of work done in the next 3 days.

Well I had a great time until my car broke. I tried to get it fixed and back but just ran out of time. Hopefully now I can get it fixed for real.

Good to meet new people and see familiar faces again.

easy big fella, this was not to be advertised on other boards, so you can announce it months in advance all you want, but your still only announcing it to a certain group of people. I can understand the quality vs. quantity thing, but if your going to lay out $4000 then you NEED alot of people to cover the expenses.

Maybe it was the whole forum rivalry thing and people didnt want to stray from thier precious forums to attend a nopistons.com event

just trying to offer some suggestions thats all

Maybe as a winter retreat next time should just stick to getting stupified on the beach in Mexico as I believe the original concept was. No significant up front expenses, people just book their own hotel room at hopefully a reduced rate.

Us Northerners can't bring our cars to a car event in the winter. Going to a car event without a car is a bummer. Setting it up as just an annual social event and a chance to get away from winter would have some appeal and greatly reduce to financial problem.

Thanks for putting on the event guys, even if I couldn't go!
