Traveres is a hell of allot closer to Tampa and Orlando than it is to Tallahasee, Jacksonville, Gainesville, Miami, and Naples but all these people made it. Try another excuse. Jim thanks for a valliant effort and giving them a chance to put up or shut up. Three days to find there way . Guess they can STFU as the opportunity was there. I personelly had a great time (as I did at the last event) and figured if you got the money up front you be spared the deficit. Perhaps it helped only a little.

That is a real kick in the nuts, and I know such a financial loss hurts right now, but here is what will happen. In the future, the pain of the loss will have evaporated and what you will still have is a recording of the Discovery Channel documentary with you being interviewed about the RX-7 and your car racing around the autocross course. At that time it will all seem to have been worth it.

Well, thanks for everyone for putting on this event. I personally had a great time and it was well worth what I spent. Scott was very helpful in keeping the event going and on time. Things pulled themselves off course and Scott pushed them back in line. I think I was as happy as any participant with the overall experience and the great level of fun. It was great to meet everyone and help out as much as I could! Jim for your financial backing and loaning me your car. I wished everyone else would've come to hang out at the restaraunt, but I can understand if that's not everyone's thing.

I don't think we drank nearly enough beer though.

Glad for those who were able to make it and have a good time. Too bad you didn't get a better turn out.

Sorry to hear about that Jims...

I for one had a great time and I agree totally with cantgostraight. The event was posted for months and there was plenty of time. Its put up or shut up. The idea for the meet was to get away from the snow and come hang out in Florida. I mean, hell the registration fee was ONLY 30$! The city, grounds, and hotel were all awesome. Everything was easy to find and very little traffic.

Unfortunately with places like Orlando, Tampa, and the likes you get a lot of the people you DON'T want attending. Plus everything is a hell of a lot more expensive in tourist cities. I remember the phrase being "Quality not Quantity" when the meet was posted. Personally I have to agree that the Quality was A+. I enjoyed meeting everyone I got to talk to and hang out with. Was nice to put some faces and people to the screen names.

Jims I think next time, if there is a next time, which I would like to see, maybe the registration would be more money... not anything pricey but enough to cover your losses.

I have 45 minutes of video to go through and if anyone else has video and pictures make sure to post them up.. I'm gonna throw something together... so i need every freakin moment on tape up for my disposal..LOL.

I have to say that I'm a little bummed out by this. I'd have been happy if Jim wouldn't have lost so much money making this happen but sadly that wasn't the case.

On the other hand, I had a blast and wouldn't love nothing more than having this event again in 2006. The people were great, the cars were awsome, and the general experiance was just something to remember.

Thanks to everyone who made this run smoothly, I hope we can do it again in the future.
