OK. Everyone, please stop with the personal hate and let's keep it on topic.

If the personal arguments continue, this thread could easily be locked or deleted. Let's keep any personal arguments to PMs please.

Brian,

As far as Ian goes... Theres not much you can do... Him and his girlfriend has taken over the club. He has yet to answer some of the important questions that were asked on the offtopic list. Which will be posted every now and then til he anwers. As far as I can see... the club was better off with him MIA... Things were getting done, and since his return, things are not. He is just scaring people off the boat.

If he is/was serious about taking you to court, do you think it would go over well? I mean, what does he have for his lawyer against you, if at anything?

I really don't see where he has a case against me. posting his e-mail address on a few boards? It's readily available everywhere on the internet already.

defamation definition – an intentional false communication that injures another person’s good name or reputation. To amount to defamation, the communication must be published or spoken

I don't think so. I state facts given to me, no more. I think he has done far more damage to my character than I have to his.

slan·der ( P ) Pronunciation Key (slndr)

n.

Law. Oral communication of false statements injurious to a person's reputation.

A false and malicious statement or report about someone.

Not possible. Everything I have said is the honest truth.

Libel - is a published or broadcast false and defamatory statement which damages the reputation of an individual

Again, I have published nothing but facts.

If he wants to bring lawyers into the fray, my lawyers will have a field day with him.

It hardly seems worth getting lawyers involved in something as silly as this, it's a car club. Move on, join a different one, make your own, there's no law against that.

The sooner everyone moves on the sooner you can get back to the task at hand. Having a good time with your car and joining others with a similar interest.

This route is an inevitability it seems with clubs.

I was severly misunderstood. I said My presence might be a detraction, not my absence. I certainly want everyone else to go. I have been promoting the event at the local rotary shop. The only one who will miss out is me, certainly not the Winterfest nor it's organizers. I think Winterfest is a great idea and is going to be the biggest and best rotary event that has ever been held in Florida. You guys are doing a great job.

I have no anomosity towards No Pistons or Jim. This is one of the best forums available. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. In fact I welcome anyone who is interested to check out the facts further and form their own opnions.

Jim, when we first talked at the autocross I did not understand that you wanted me to stop charging at that point. Each of the nonmembers and non drivers were asked to pay $5 for their food. After the meal was over you came to me and gave me money to cover the remaining cost. No one paid after that and anyone who paid before was deducted before I gave you a total amount. Sorry for the misunderstanding. I would be more than happy to refund any money you think was collected in error. In fact I will return the entire amount you gave me if you are unhappy about the way it was handled.

I apologize, again, if it sounded like I meant anyone should boycot this event. Everyone should go, enjoy themselves and support No Pistons and Jim.

Ron
