Hey everyone. My name is Matt and I'm 23 from Modesto,ca. I recently just acquired an 87 rx7.

I have always been into cars an wanting to work on them. My first "dream" car was a z car. I eventually got my dream 280z 2 years ago with a lot of work needed. Because of the age nearly everything was bad besides the actual engine and druvetrain. So I worked note car for almost 2 years and spent nearly 3000 in parts and the car still pretty much looked like it did when I got it, except better paint and wheels. After one issue after another I decided to make a change. Tired of fixing the car on the side ofthe road I approached a guy on craigslist about trading his rx7 to me for my Z car. He jumped on the opportunity an on 3, November 2010 I drove my new rx7 home.

I haven't really had much time to work on it yet but my first order of business is to fix the drivers side door handle and put the cat back on and see if it passes emissions in order for me to register it and drive it legally on the road.

I haven't been kn this forum for long, about 10 whole minutes now. So I'm not sure what types of resources are availible here. Does anyone know where can download a PDF style FSM for my car? I ha one for my Z and it became invaluable and I am sure it will be the same with this car.

Anyways, thanks in advance for any help or patience you may have with me. I am sure I will be here a lot with questions and hopefully a build thread.

Haha good to know. I am used to being on HybridZ where they are MAJOR search *****. Does anyone know where I can buy a drivers side door handle besides a wrecking yard? I plan to go to pick and pull tomorrow where they have an 88 there, but no promise that it will have a door handle.

Try Black Dragon Auto, or even the dealership. I have no idea if either of these have door handles, but it's worth a shot.
