Car flooded a couple of times yesterday, and went through the rx7.com procedure of unflooding, by removing egi comp fuse, holding down pedal while cranking ignition, car started up first time after unflooding. Now my question is does the car have to get to the middle of the temp gauge to get to normal runnig temp so i doesnt flood or unhtil it reaches its noraml 750 rpm idle and the temp is just above the second mark on the temp gauge. I know i can prevent flooding by with the way described in rx7.com but I drove around alot yesterday and it still flooded, the temp gauage never got to the middle though, its cold here in New York now with the snow.



Ordered some Idmetus rotory oil, oil filters, ngk spark plug wires and ngk trailing and leading plugs so I can do some basic maintience on the RX7, hopefully this will help with the car starting easier.

The thermostat may be stuck open, I've had a rash of those this winter. When the thermostat gets stuck open the engine won't reach operating temperature, especially if you have an aftermarket radiator. I've had several "American" cars coming kicking OBD2 codes for running below operating temperature

i never had flooding troubles because what i would do if i had to move the car and shut it of i would rev it to like 3K rpm and hit the key off and floor the throttle the few strokes that the engine does WOT as it winds down from turning off the keep would keep flooding at bay. and if your engine floods regularly your plugs might be shot.

I ve been doin that now every time i think its gonna flood wen i shut it off.



I just got every thing I need to do for the killswitch for the egi. I am not 100% sure where to connect it to though. From searching the fourms I think i have to cut the middle black and white wire on the black box with the yellow base under the dash. Does any one which is the best way to do this.

looks like you need the radio cage too, not just the surround, welcome !

Ya, right now it doesn't moove around too much while I drift, but it defientley doesn't look that good.
