Hey everyone!

Name is Justin and I live just south of Cincinnati.. I just sold my S14 with a cam'd SR20 and I'm scouring the net looking for an FD.

One of my buddies that's into rotaries suggested this site so I figured I'd check it out.

Hoping to meet some new people, learn about the 13b / 20b and, hopefully, find an FD!

Just make sure to check out the car before purchase. Mine looked like new when I bought it but had a lot of issues hiding out

Yeah I have a road trip planned this coming Friday! I pretty much expect there are going to be some problems with anyone I get... This one has 67k original miles and looks great. Ran the Carfax as a prereq and it came back clean. Now I just need to do the sweep and check the normal stuff because it's going on a 9 hour road trip.. O.o Wish me luck!!! LOL

Will do! Let her run up to temperature before exchanging funds, some issues don't arise till she's warmed up. Also check all lights, I'd hate for you to get a ticket on the maiden voyage lmao

Yeah no kidding! LoL. My buddy is going to follow behind in my WRX.. I was going to fly down and drive back but he has a set of 19s for it and some parts sooo... round trip FML!!

I want to hear it from a cold start, let it warm up, take it for a bit of a drive, check for leaks, all that good stuff.

If you guys have anything very specific to check, please let me know! I want to check levels / color of oil, coolant, etc (normal stuff) but if there is a specific 13b thing, lay it on me!

It's best to get a compression test, but not many people have those on hand. Other than that just your standard leaks to keep an eye out for. Also 5th gear synchro issues are common. If it grinds or is difficult to get into fifth, plan on replacing the trans, it's cheaper than rebuilding.

It's an auto in it's current state. I have a 5 spd and ECU waiting for it when it gets back. LoL Which reminds me, I need to post a WTB for a clutch pedal. I will likely just buy a Wilwood master since I have an account with them.
